2008 Film Independent Spirit Award Winners
Among this year Film Independent’s Spirit Awards winners is the comedy “Juno” winning the prize for best feature at the Santa Monica ceremony. Juno claimed three of the five awards, Ellen Page who stars in the movie, also earned the best lead actress statuette, while writer Diablo Cody took home the award for best first screenplay.
Philip Seymour Hoffman, was also honored with the prize for best lead actor for his work in “The Savages,” along with Cate Blanchett, who took home the statuette for best supporting actress for playing music icon Bob Dylan in “I’m Not There.”
Film Independent’s Spirit Award gala was hosted by actor Rainn Wilson, and the event belonged to the memory of late actor Heath Ledger, who was honored with tributes from his I’m Not There director Todd Haynes and co-star Cate Blanchett, who dedicated her Best Supporting Actress prize to the actor.

Justin Timberlake is Parfums Givenchy Spokesmodel
According to recent reports, Pop Celebrity Justin Timberlake is the new brand ambassador for Parfums Givenchy. Timberlake will head a new advertising campaign for the men’s fragrance soon. Reports of a deal between J.T and Givenchy first surfaced last December. No other details are known yet, stay tuned for the updates!
Rihanna Named Barbados Ambassador For Culture And Youth
After a day she celebrated her 20th birthday, the Pop Sensation Rihanna added on her list of accomplishments the honor of being named Ambassador for Culture and Youth for her home nation of Barbados on Thursday night. The newest Barbados’ youth and cultural ambassador Rihanna, was given the title by Prime Minister David Thompson at a tribute concert held in her honor in Independence Square.
Kevin Federline gives Britney Spears visiting rights
According to recent reports, Kevin Federline has agreed to let ex-pop-Celebrity-wife Britney Spears visit her two young sons, nearly two months after she last saw them. Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said that the former Celebrity couple have agreed to modify the court order that banned Britney Spears of her visitation rights. The only condition is that Britney’s father James Spears to be present during her visits with Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2.
