Nicole Kidman: Say No To Violence Against Women
UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador Nicole Kidman answers questions at a press conference against violence towards women at the United Nations on Tuesday in New York City.
“One in three women will encounter violence in some way, shape or form against them in their lifetime,” Nicole said. “That’s an extraordinary statistic. Yet do we ever hear it?”
The 40-year-old pregnant actress encouraged the signing of an online petition to support the elimination of violence against women.
“I’m a mother, I have a child on the way, I have two children in the world and a lot of (my motivation) is about realizing the things that are wrong and how can I contribute,” she added. “What are the things I can contribute to help my children have a better life and help other children around the world have a better life and other citizens of the world have a better life.

Nicole has two teenage children, Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13, from her marriage to actor Tom Cruse. She’s also expecting a baby in July with her second husband, country superstar Keith Urban.

The Colombian singer, 31, shared her experience growing up in the developing world where parents are desperate to provide education for their children.
“Education can really save lives”, said Shakira. She also mentioned that according to her sources, 226 million teenagers can’t attend secondary school due to violence or being forced to work.

Britney Spears’ Total Fitness
Britney Spears heads home after working out with her mom Lynne at Bally Total Fitness in Los Angeles on Friday.
A workout won’t be helping Britney’s financial troubles as the Spears‘ family was ordered by a Los Angeles judge to pay over $350,000 to settle her legal bill.
This ruling is on top of the decision one month ago where Britney was ordered to pay ex-husband Kevin Federline $375K to cover legal costs.
